Welcome to Lumeo Auctions Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
2. Account Registration
To participate in auctions, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 18 years old to register
- One account per person is permitted
- You must provide valid contact and payment information
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our terms
3. Bidding Rules
All bids placed on our platform constitute a legally binding contract to purchase the item at the bid price.
- Bids cannot be retracted except in cases of genuine error within 1 hour
- We reserve the right to cancel bids from accounts with insufficient payment verification
- Bid increments are determined by the current bid amount
- Auctions may be extended if bids are placed in the final 2 minutes
- We reserve the right to cancel any auction at our discretion
- Shill bidding and bid manipulation are strictly prohibited
4. Payment Terms
Winning bidders must complete payment within 7 days of auction close. The total amount includes the hammer price plus a 15% buyer’s premium.
- Payment must be made in full before items are shipped
- We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal
- Currency conversion rates are determined at time of payment
- Non-payment may result in account suspension and legal action
- All payments are processed securely through encrypted channels
5. Item Descriptions & Authentication
We make every effort to accurately describe and authenticate all items. However, items are sold “as is” and we recommend buyers conduct their own due diligence.
- All items are examined by certified gemologists
- High-value items include certificates from recognised laboratories
- Descriptions are based on expert opinion and available documentation
- Minor variations in colour, size, or condition may occur
- Buyers have 14 days to report discrepancies from the description
6. Shipping & Delivery
All items are shipped fully insured via secure courier with tracking and signature confirmation.
- Shipping costs are calculated based on destination and item value
- UK deliveries: 1-3 business days
- International deliveries: 5-10 business days
- Buyers are responsible for customs duties and import taxes
- Risk of loss passes to buyer upon delivery confirmation
7. Returns & Refunds
We offer a 14-day return policy from the date of delivery for items that significantly differ from their description.
- Items must be returned in original condition with all documentation
- Custom or altered pieces cannot be returned
- Buyer pays return shipping unless item is defective or misrepresented
- Refunds are processed within 7 business days of receiving the returned item
- Buyer’s premium is non-refundable except in cases of counterfeit items
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and software, is owned by Lumeo Auctions Ltd and protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify our content without permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumeo Auctions Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific item.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
